What happens in your first 90 days at Sway
A transparent, week-by-week look at training with Sway: assessment, your dedicated coach, the programme, and a real progress review at day 90.

People ask us what working with Sway actually looks like. Not the philosophy or the theory. The practical, week-by-week reality.
Here is exactly what happens. Sway is in-home and online personal training in London. You work with one dedicated coach, qualified in both Pilates and Strength and Conditioning, in your home or live over video, for the whole 90 days and beyond.
Key takeaways
1. Your first 90 days follow a clear path: a thorough assessment, a programme built for you, regular sessions, and a formal progress review at day 90.
2. You work with the same dedicated coach throughout. One person who knows your history, your goals and your body.
3. If you already see a physiotherapist or another specialist, your coach coordinates with them rather than working in isolation.
Week 1: the assessment
Everything starts with a 90-minute assessment, in your home in London or live online. This is not a fitness test. It is a proper look at how you move and what you need.
Your coach evaluates how your body moves, where you have pain or restriction, what your goals are, what your history looks like and what your daily life actually demands. They ask about your sleep, your stress, how you eat, your medical history, and what you want to be able to do in five years that you cannot do today.
By the end, your coach has a clear picture of what your body needs. Not what you assume it needs, but what the assessment shows.
Week 2: your programme
From the assessment, your coach builds your programme. Because the same person is qualified in both Pilates and Strength and Conditioning, the mobility, control, balance and loading sit together in one plan rather than being stitched together from separate practitioners who never speak.
This is also where honesty matters. If the assessment turns up something outside a coach's remit, a problem that needs a physiotherapist, a registered nutritionist, a massage therapist or a psychotherapist, your coach will say so and can introduce you to a trusted independent specialist from our vetted referral network. Those specialists are not Sway staff. They are people we trust, and your coach coordinates with them so the work stays joined up.
Weeks 3 to 8: the programme in motion
Your sessions run in your home, or live online wherever you are. Your coach trains you, watches how you respond, and adjusts as you go.
This is where having one coach pays off. They see the whole picture week to week. If your energy dips mid-afternoon, if a movement starts to niggle, if your sleep slips, the person in front of you already knows your full history and adjusts the plan on the spot. Nothing has to be relayed between separate people, and nothing falls through the gaps between them.
If you are also seeing an outside specialist, your coach keeps that line open. Your coach shares what the training is doing; the specialist shares what they are finding. You are not left carrying messages between them.
Week 12: the progress review
At 90 days, your coach runs a formal review. You reassess your movement, compare it against the initial assessment, and look at how far things have moved.
This is where you see it concretely. Range of motion. Strength. Pain. Sleep. Energy. Based on the review, the programme evolves: new goals, new emphasis, perhaps an introduction to a specialist if something has surfaced, or stepping one back if it is no longer needed.
What stays constant
Your dedicated coach is your single point of contact from day one. They know your history, build your plan, answer your questions and coordinate with any outside specialist you see. You never have to relay information between people or remember what one professional said so you can tell another. That is the coach's job.
